FORTY-FIVE DOMES IN A CUBE

Master studio | 10 weeks
This is a 10x10x10 meter concrete cube containing forty-five
parabolic domes connected by a number of parabolic vaults. It
is an investigation on how basic geometric shapes can be added
to create complex spaces, and how to fit the necessary furnish-
ings for habitation. It is about control, about creating a system
and figuring out how to create the spaces you want to create,
and when to let the unpredictable occur. It is about creating
restrictions and then breaking all of them.
