Master studio | One semester
The studio investigated ceramic materials and their architectural potential, in a collaboration
between the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and AHO. The goal was to find newways to utilize
ceramics beyond the standard bricks, tiles, and porcelain used in today’s architecture, and then
build the results from the design process at the end of the semester. The result was a firetable
installation with ceramic chairs, lanterns, and a wall made out of see-through bricks shaped in
an unconventional way.
The course also displayed its results at a large exhibition at AHO Works showing the whole
design process in 1:1 ceramic objects.
