          This course in brand building emphasises
        
        
          communication through physical and visual
        
        
          product identity. The course focuses on
        
        
          theoretical and practical issues related to
        
        
          branding and the experience of the prod-
        
        
          ucts. Knowledge of the basic principles and
        
        
          instruments of branding and visual identity
        
        
          are explored analytically, strategically and
        
        
          practically.

          This course addresses professional practice
        
        
          and its framework, role and relationship to
        
        
          the client and society. The course includes
        
        
          an introduction to the areas of Industrial
        
        
          Design, Interaction Design and Service
        
        
          Design. Students taking the course are
        
        
          required to complete two main tasks: a
        
        
          complete design project and a portfolio.
        
        
          Students are required to have completed
        
        
          the Examen Philosophicum.
