          The task was to make a chess board for children, with pieces that could be produced by injec-
        
        
          tion molding. The students were challenged to explore and reflect the identity and characteris-
        
        
          tics of the game in their designs. The groups chose different approaches. One group chose a cold
        
        
          arctic theme, drawing attention to penguins as an endangered species, while the other focused
        
        
          on the different characters and attributes of the pieces and how they move across the board.
