The building is situated along Maridalsveien, in an intersec-
tion where car and pedestrian pathways cross. It is a calm
area dominated by older wooden houses. On the site there
are two big trees and this is reflected in the building. The bar
is placed on ground level and the footprint is minimal. The
living areas are on the second level and above. Two people
live there. The house has six levels that float into each other.
A small footprint and as many open rooms as possible were
the driving factors in the project.
