AHO WORKS STUDIES 2012-2013
Highlights
In connection with his retirement, Professor Thomas
Thiis-Evensen delivered his final lecture to a packed
auditorium at AHO. Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway
came to take part in the lecture, which was followed by a
reception. Thiis-Evensen has been Professor in Architec-
tural Theory and History at the school since 1992.
The conference
Digitalt Byliv
was organised by the AHO
research project YOUrban, and Statsbygg, with support
from the Norwegian Ministry of the Environment, Norsk
Form and the Norwegian Research Council and took
place at DogA. The aim of
Digitalt Byliv
was to put digital
urban life on the agenda, and to bring together critical,
practical and strategic perspectives on the ongoing dig-
itisation of cities. The conference focused both on how
digital technologies are shaping urban life, and on how
the city can be a context for discussing technology and
societal change at a broader level.
