The book
Architecture as Infrastructure - Artistic Research by Studio B3
was launched at AHO
on the 9th of April. Edited by Lisbeth Funck and Anders Eik Pilskog, the book features 31
student projects from 2008 to 2010. The work produced during the courses was an explo-
ration into spatial potential with a capacity to take on many scales and interpretations. In
this sense, the search released architectural intentions from the constraints of the singular
architectural object, as the investigation challenged and opened up for new and changing
relationships, both social and spatial. The aim was to include and not to separate.
In April 2013 the exhibition
Form and Energy- Architecture in and from Austria
was organ-
ized at the AHO Gallery in collaboration with The Austrian Embassy in Oslo. The exhibition
focused on the sustainable use of natural resources in recent Austrian architecture and on
its energy-political, environmental and building-cultural development. The exhibition elo-
quently presented many Austrian examples and experiences that respond to the high expec-
tations what that we today call ecological architecture, related to the way they are construct-
ed, used and operated.
AHO students took away four of five possible prizes at the Norwegian Design Council’s
Young Talents of 2013 Awards at the Design Day in April. The Young Talents Awards are
aimed at Norwegian and foreign students at Norwegian design schools, as well as Norwe-
gians studying design abroad. The Young Talents Awards provided an opportunity for young
designers to show off their best design projects.
