Jon Balke and Tone Myskja invited us to their farm

in Fall, for a three-day workshop. In connection with the

event Mombi, we had the opportunity to build four stages

for cultural performances. Our aim was to create four

stages inspired by a site and specific artist.

has the double-curved shape of a tuba. In a

dense alder forest, the negative space was

cleared and the remaining trees braided into

shape. The green construction remains alive

          and continue on growing.

An abandoned railway creates an elongated

room defined by rails that cut across the

woods. By constructing frames in even paces

along the railways, a rhythm implies the

sound of the train that once travelled there.
