Advisors: Steinar killi and nina Bjørnstad
Illumination
is an adaptable light system suited for a range of different urban
areas. The arms of the lamp can be arranged in different positions depending
on the specific need and context. This makes it possible to direct the light
precisely toward the intended area, while reducing light pollution. It also con-
tributes to a continuous impression of an area as the lamps change in relation
to the changing streetscape. The project is not based on a specific site. The
lamp is designed to be distinct and simplistic in form and function, not to be
concealed but rather to be emphasised as a characteristic part of an area.
Jordal, located east in Oslo, was used as a case study because it comprises a
range of different functions: sports field, playground, skate ramp and park.
