Design-based research
Themes and questions defined in the other
work packages will be studied systematically
in six consecutive master level studio courses.
The aim will be to explore the accumulated
architectural implications of specific require-
ments, products and solutions.

Wood constructions in urban buildings
Following analyses of relevant integrated,
wood-based building designs: To develop
solutions and calculation tools for dimension-
ing and joining wooden components in struc-
tural systems. Combine model-based analysis
and full-scale verification tests.

Wood in urban building envelopes
Based on studies in work package 1: Define
central themes and details related to wood-
en building envelops in important building
types. Develop an verify a simulation tool that
combines microclimatic and building phys-
ical modelling and a performance model for
wood materials.

processes, value chains and marketing
Studies of know-how and attitudes related to
wood in important user groups. Definition of
important decision points where information
and competence about wood-based solution
should be available. Specify form and distri-
bution of relevant information.
