Small-scale Experimental Building:
Exhibition Opening

The Norwegian Minister for Education, Kristin
Halvorsen, opened the exhibition of small-scale
housing modules. She was impressed by the collabo-
ration of this master course with other schools in the
building sector. All projects were designed accord-
ing to passive house principles. In front of a packed
auditorium, Joan Ramos Pastor Planas, an exchange
student from barcelona, presented his project that
was selected for production at full-scale.

A gluelam frame for a full-scale experimental building
was tested at Sogn Secondary School for Vocational
Education. Innovative screw-based joints proved
their strength during a controlled and monitored load
test up to and beyond breaking point.
