NÅGOT NYTT, NÅNTING BLÅTT…
SOMETHING NEW,
SOMETHING BLUE…
Från det ljusa svala
tar det nordiska uttrycket nya
steg med starkare färger, värme och personlig-
het. Vi leker med grundformerna från modernis-
men.
From cool, pared
down minimalism, Nordic de-
sign is stepping out with stronger colours, warmth
and a strong sense of personality. This design is
innovative, has a clear, sound focus and is more
self-confident. This is where the Swedish folk tradi-
tion blends with a bit of inspiration from points East.
Craftsmanship continues to be an influence. The
authentic and artistic take design to a new level,
while technological
innovations spur it on
into the future.
We are seeing lots of
shades of blue, from the
deepest blue of twilight
to all the varieties of
sea blue and the more
folky Rättviks blue. Here
in the Nordic countries
we can’t get enough
of blue, as this spring’s
trend colours go to
show, plus touches of
red and gold. The materials are carefully chosen
and here we’re seeing wood, natural stone, cork,
terracotta and marble.
“Something old, something new, something
borrowed and something blue” just sums up the
thinking behind this trend.
As spring approaches, everyone gets to give
their creativity free rein, creating personal, playful,
colourful interior design with their own unique
touch. We think you’ll find plenty of inspiration and
energy in this year’s theme Nordic Kicks.
SPANA EFTER …
Blått i alla dess
nyanser – tänk
allt från hav till
Dalaskåp.
Geometriska former
och distinkta färger,
men ändå med ett
mjukt uttryck.
Det genuina och
konstnärliga, det
hantverskmässiga,
men på framtidsvis.
LOOK FOR…
Blues in all hues –
ranging from ocean
to Dala cabinets.
”Geometric shapes
and bold colors,
yet in a soft, gentle
expression.
A futuristic take on
the genuine, the
artistic and the
lovingly crafted.
