ONE SEMESTER
Impressions of a place and a moment in time. Following random people around
Grünerløkka, noting down thoughts, observations and reflections that run
through my mind along the way. Whenever the person I follow enters a building,
a car or moves out of view, I wait for the first passerby, whatever direction, up
and down the streets. On the map, the text indicates the route I walk, the streets,
the turns and the change of direction as I follow the footsteps of daily life.

It is no longer news that China has a growing interest in the thawing north.
As a rising power of the 21st century, China has made a transition from an
exporting to an importing country during last decade. The Arctic is “hot”
now and China would definitely not miss a chance. Resistance or cooperation,
Arctic countries seem to be s tanding at a crossroads. China is already in this
game of musical chairs and there is no doubt that China, as a non-Arctic state,
will be the busiest country in the Arctic.
